On todays shift you are added to the Semmering Railway Support Services team, which does all kinds of supporting jobs on the Semmeringbahn. Your task is to gather three loco’s in Semmering and Payerbach, and bring them down to Gloggnitz. You will be driving the ÖBB 1044.
Today you are driving the ÖBB-InterCity 531, with a tandem of two BR 1116 Taurus locs, 12 coaches and 2 car carriers, from Wien to Lienz Sonnenstadt in Osttirol over the Semmering.
It is a rainy day in november. Your are stopped by a signal just outside of Eichberg. When the signal clears, it is your job to take the Dispolok BR189 double traction and bring the containers over the pass to Mürzzuschlag.
On 1 august 2006 DB did test (try out) rides on the Semmeringbahn with a 7 cars DB BR 411 ICE-T. They did that day several roundtrips between Eichberg and Semmering.
